The Dinaric Alps run 645km parallel to the Adriatic coast through six Western Balkan nations, reaching 2,694m at Maja Jezerce. Predominantly karst limestone, the range features extraordinary caves, canyons, and glacial lakes within Durmitor and Plitvice national parks.
