The Bernese Alps form the southern wall of Switzerland's Bernese Oberland, containing iconic peaks including the Eiger (3,967m) and Finsteraarhorn (4,274m). The north faces of the Eiger and Jungfrau are legendary for their difficulty and history. Excellent hut networks serve all levels of alpinism.
