Batura Sar (7795m)

5

Batura Sar terletak pada ketinggian 7795 meter di Pakistan, bagian dari Karakoram, Asia. Puncak ini diklasifikasikan sebagai Fold Mountain.

Batura Sar is the highest summit of the Batura Muztagh, a subrange in the western Karakoram of Pakistan, rising to 7,795 metres above one of the longest glacier systems outside the polar regions. First climbed in 1976, it anchors a chain of 7,000-metre peaks strung along the great Batura Wall. It is a fold mountain of the Karakoram, lifted by the ongoing collision of the Indian plate with Asia. The site classifies it grade 5, its most severe tier, and its scale and isolation make it a seldom-attempted objective. Long approaches over crevassed ice guard the mountain from all but committed expeditions.
